Good merchandising is a combination of good common sense and good house keeping.
There is a misconception that 'more is better', however at CDL the emphasis is on having the right products in the right places; allowing for a fast, easy and accurate service.
We believe there are a number of factors that lead to successful merchandising, including:
- Knowing your customer - Understanding the needs and requirements of your customer-base.
- Cross Merchandising - A widely used technique that encourages impulse buys.
- Seasonality - Dependant on the season promoting the right products is essential.
- Analysing sales - Recognising which products are 'sellers' and which are not is vital so efficiency can be maintained.
